After 1993, the casting pipe technology became increasingly mature. The products used in water supply and gas engineering in China have been exported, with an annual output of about 700000 tons.

Water delivery: when the diameter of ductile iron pipe is ≤ 300mm, the maximum allowable working pressure is 3 - 4Mpa; When the pipe diameter is 350-1000mm, it is 2-3Mpa; When the pipe diameter is greater than 1000mm, it is 1.6-2Mpa.

N1 type interface seal adopts the principle of external elastic pressure seal. The working face of the socket is a single inclined plane, and the section of the interface gap is wedge-shaped, which is consistent with the section shape of the seal ring. With the elasticity of the rubber ring and the pre pressure during installation, the rubber ring is compressed and deformed, and the working face is compressed to obtain the sealing effect. In order to prevent the corrosion of the gas on the sealing rubber ring, in addition to the strict requirements for the rubber material, necessary technical measures are taken in the interface design.
